How to avoid wetness in restrooms

Reasons for continual wetness at your office toilets can be several. These are the most probable ones.

Bad toilet placement

The toilet is in principal a place where water and moisture aggregate. This, however, should be constricted to the inner parts of the flush bowl. It’s just a matter of time when a mold makes its way in when the moisture gets outside.

The reason for a bad placement and adhesure is most likely due to bad isolation and unreliably screwed bolts. This is a problem you can easily fix yourself a save yourself future trouble.

Ventilation is everything

If you can’t localize the source of the wetness or it’s caused by multiple sources (small toilets, shower, no window) the best solution just might be to install a fan.

Its size should be proportional to the si size of toilets. In this case, it’s best to make your decision based on the air circulation indicator, CFM. A rule applies that fans CFM should be equal to or bigger than the size of your toilet in square meters. (e.g. 20 meters square root toilet should have a fan in between 20-30 CFM). After you choose the one that is right for your needs it’s also a good idea not to forget one more step – interconnect it with the light switch at your toilet.

Balance the temperature

If you’re unable to install a fan for one reason or another an alternative might be higher attention focused on the temperature in bathrooms. In other words, don’t let the air temperature cross a certain threshold. Don’t let it get too hot.

Hot water is the usual source of heat, so it’s a good idea to lower the maximum temperature of the water. In bathrooms, the water doesn’t have to approach boiling temperatures.
