More than just a stamp: A leader in responsible business

One of the key ways in which SHP Group has maintained its long-term competitiveness in the European market is through the systematic improvement of internal processes in the quality area, product safety, and environmental protection. Their standard is confirmed annually by independent audits and obtained certifications, which are proof of our responsible approach to customers, partners, and also to the environment.

In 2025, our manufacturing facilities passed several system and customer audits. Supervisory and certification audits have confirmed the functionality of the management system of quality and environment in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. At the Paloma factory, compliance with the ISO 45001 standard focusing on workplace health and safety has also been confirmed.

Once again in 2025, the production factories of SHP Group successfully defended their annual certification of the safety and quality management system for household and personal care products in accordance with the IFS HPC standard. The audits confirmed the fulfilment of all requirements and the effectiveness of the implemented system. Identified inconsistencies and corrective measures are part of action plans that support the continuous improvement of the processes.

The SHP Slavošovce factory has repeatedly reached the Higher Level rating, while other factories have received the Foundation Level rating.

The SHP Harmanec, SHP Slavošovce, and SHP Celex factories have successfully completed the FSC CoC (Forest Stewardship Council) recertification. This standard focuses on controlling the processing chain and proves the responsible origin of the primary raw materials used in manufacturing of our products. The multisite recertification audit has confirmed the fulfilment of requirements as well as the effectiveness of the implemented system. At the same time, the Paloma factory also confirmed its PEFC certificate through a supervisory audit.

The SHP Group’s environmental approach is also proven by various product certifications. The Blue Angel certification confirms the eco-friendly properties of hygiene products made from collected waste paper. The Paloma and Celex factories hold the EU Ecolabel certification, the Slapa factory has received the Nordic Swan and Home Compostable certifications. These labels provide consumers with a guarantee that the products have a lower environmental impact during their production, use, and disposal, and are verified by independent testing laboratories.

By completing the SMETA 7.0 audit the SHP Slavošovce company has confirmed that the ethical and social responsibility toward both the employees and environment meets the requirements of international standards. This audit is further proof that the values of responsible business are an inherent part of our corporate culture.
